Glen Barbour

Glen Barbour, M.A., is an experienced communications professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Public Affairs and Communications Officer for Loudoun County Government since January 2015, Glen has a strong background in media and public relations, having previously held the position of Communications Director (PIO) at the Fairfax County, VA Health Department from February 2009 to January 2015. Glen's expertise in broadcasting includes roles as a reporter, anchor, and production support at various television affiliates, including KSTP-TV, WDTN-TV, WKEF/WRGT-TV, and KMID-TV from 1997 to 2008. Additionally, Glen has experience in public relations and video production through freelance work with Edge City Productions, Inc. and Video Takes, Inc. Academically, Glen holds a Master of Arts in Communication from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from George Mason University, alongside training in Emergency Management from the Department of Homeland Security.
