Ian Blakemore

Ian Blakemore is an experienced educator and football coach with a strong focus on sports and exercise science, holding a BSc degree from the University of Lincoln and a BSc (hons) from St Georges College of Technology. Currently serving as Curriculum Manager and Further Education Lecturer in Sport at Loughborough College since January 2016, Ian previously held positions including BTEC Sport Lecturer at Lincoln College and Assistant U15's Coach at Notts County Football Club. Ian's coaching expertise is highlighted by roles as U13's Head Coach at both Lincolnshire FA Ladies Centre of Excellence and Lincolnshire Football Association Limited, alongside experience at Lincoln City FC Academy as a Foundation Phase Coach, where Ian specialized in curriculum design, performance analysis, and player recruitment. Also noted for mentoring grassroots and student interns, Ian has contributed significantly to player development and educational planning throughout a diverse coaching career.
