John Bassford

John Bassford has extensive experience in various roles within the healthcare and education sectors. Currently serving at NHS England as part of the NIHR Central Commissioning Facility since December 2014, John has held significant positions in the Sorin Group since July 1993, including Education Development Manager for Cardiac Surgery and Area Manager. Additionally, John contributes to Loughborough College as an Examinations Invigilator since September 2008. Involvement with the Confrairie Internationale de St Vincent as a Chevalier since June 1999 and previously serving as Vice Chairman of Charnwood College from June 2012 to April 2015, demonstrates commitment to educational governance. John was also a Board Member for Leicestershire County Council from May 2010 to April 2015 and held a governor position at Thorpe Hill 11-19 Campus from September 1986 to June 2012, alongside an earlier role as Area Manager for CarboMedics from 1993 to 2003. Education includes attending the Royal College of Music.
