Santos Rodriguez

Santos Rodriguez has a diverse work experience spanning from 2013 to the present. Santos began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Iowa, where they contributed to a project studying genetic variation and leukemia in mice. Santos then worked as a Student IT Desktop Support at the University of Iowa Health Care, troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Santos later joined the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital as an Acute Pediatric Pharmacy Technician, preparing medications for patients in various units.

In 2017, Santos interned as an Inpatient Programs Audit Intern at SCIO Health Analytics®, where they performed revenue management data analytics and assisted with training. Santos then worked as a Synthesis Scientist at Integrated DNA Technologies, synthesizing oligos, performing quality control tests, and adhering to lab safety protocols.

From 2020 to 2021, Santos served as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Ochsner Health Research Division, collaborating with investigators in various research areas and conducting subject interviews for enrollment in clinical trials. Santos subsequently joined the San Francisco AIDS Foundation as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Regulatory Manager, overseeing multiple research protocols and ensuring regulatory compliance.

In 2022, Santos worked as an Epidemiology Research Associate at the Vitalant Research Institute, coordinating a pilot study focused on assessing HIV individual risk in a specific demographic group. Santos then joined ObjectiveHealth in the same year as a Clinical Research Site Director, managing a team, conducting team building activities, and maintaining relationships with vendors.

Currently, Santos is employed as the Oncology Biospecimen Core Laboratory Manager at the Louisiana Cancer Research Center, where they are responsible for overseeing laboratory operations.

Santos Rodriguez majored in (BS) in Bioinformatics and Biomathematics from the University of Iowa from 2013-2018, withdrawing due to a medical chronic illness diagnosis.
