Billy Williamson

Billy Williamson is an experienced engineering professional with a background in flood control and management. Currently serving as the Director of Dams and Levees and Engineer 7 at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development since October 2014, Billy oversees the Statewide Flood Control Program, the Roadway Flooding Program, and the Louisiana Watershed Initiative's Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling Program. Prior to this role, Billy was the Statewide Flood Control Program Manager at the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources from June 2007 to October 2014, where responsibilities included professional engineering tasks. Billy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University, completed in 2007.
