Katie Severson Dvm

Katie Severson, DVM has extensive work experience in the field of veterinary medicine. Katie started their career as the Owner/Veterinarian at Oak Alley Veterinary Services, LLC in 2011, where they provided high-quality care to animals until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as an Official Veterinarian at the Texas Racing Commission, ensuring the well-being of racehorses. In 2016, they joined Our Family Vet as an Associate Veterinarian, where they stayed until 2017. Katie then worked as an Associate Veterinarian at Pet Care Center from 2017 to 2019. In 2020, they joined Riverside Veterinary Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian before being promoted to the role of Chief Veterinarian at Louisiana SPCA in 2023.

Katie Severson, DVM, attended Louisiana State University from 2003 to 2006, where they pursued Pre-Veterinary Studies. Following this, they enrolled in the Louisiana State University School Of Veterinary Medicine from 2006 to 2010, earning their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with a specialization in Veterinary Medicine.
