Phillip Velinov

Phillip Velinov is an accomplished ballet dancer and educator with extensive experience in the field. Since joining the Louisville Ballet in February 2006 as a Principal Dancer, notable first role included Albrecht in Giselle. Phillip progressed to serve as a Senior Company Artist and now holds the position of Resident Character Artist and Studio Company Men's Teacher. Prior to this, Phillip was a Soloist Dancer with Ballet Internationale and a Company Artist with Alabama Ballet. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Birmingham-Southern College, along with training at the Alabama School of Fine Arts and the National Ballet School in Sofia, Bulgaria.
