Jill Kahanek has held a variety of roles in the music industry since 2001. Jill began their career as a Freelance Musician and Educator, performing as an oboist, English horn, flute and pennywhistle with various orchestras. In 2007, they became the Director of Development at Henry Mancini Enterprises, where they were responsible for the collection, distribution, preservation and propagation of Henry Mancini's archives. In 2011, they took on the role of Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Programs at The California Wellness Foundation, and in 2016 they became the Director of Operations at Loupe, a global intelligent content streaming company. In 2015, they established their own post-production audio services company, Sidewinder Post Inc, and currently serves as the Owner/Producer/Editor/Sound Designer/Music Supervisor.
Jill Kahanek obtained a Master of Music degree in Oboe Performance from Purchase College, SUNY between 1998 and 2000. Jill also obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Oboe Performance from Syracuse University between 1994 and 1998. In 2010, they obtained a California Massage Therapy Council Certification from the California Massage Therapy Council. In 2017, they obtained a 42% French fluency certification from Duolingo. In addition, they have a LMT degree from the Institute of Psycho Structural Balancing in Massage Therapy.
