Teddi Moorman

Director Of Trio Student Support Services At Lourdes University at Lourdes University

Teddi Moorman has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Starting from 1986, Teddi worked as an Adolescent and Family Counselor at Options Inc., providing mental health and substance abuse counseling to individuals, families, and groups. This role involved collecting and analyzing data, developing treatment plans, and participating in inter-agency collaboration. From 1996 to 2000, Teddi worked as a Children's Therapist at Children's Resource Center, providing mental health counseling and crisis intervention to children, youth, families, and groups. Teddi then joined Lourdes College in 2000 as an Assistant Director and Personal and Career Counselor. In this role, Teddi implemented needs assessments, developed individual success plans, provided counseling and career inventories for college students, and advised students on course selection and academic success. Teddi continued working at Lourdes University from 2011 to the present as the Director of TRiO Student Support Services, where they wrote a successful grant proposal totaling over 1.3 million dollars and were responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising all program activities. Additionally, Teddi has served as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at both Lourdes University and Davis College, teaching various courses.

Teddi Moorman earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Political Science from Ohio University in 1984. Teddi later pursued a Master's degree in Counseling from The University of Toledo, which they completed in 1987. In 1999, they obtained a certification as a Professional Counselor from the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board.
