Jennifer Hanley is a seasoned planetary scientist and astronomer with extensive experience in planetary research and education. Since September 2015, Jennifer has held dual roles at Lowell Observatory and Northern Arizona University as a Planetary Scientist/Astronomer and Visiting Researcher, respectively. Prior to these positions, Jennifer worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Southwest Research Institute, focusing on the mechanical properties of martian analog soils and modeling the stability of liquid water on Mars. Educationally, Jennifer earned a Ph.D. in Space and Planetary Science from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor's degree in Science of Earth Systems from Cornell University. Additionally, Jennifer has contributed to various educational initiatives, including instructing physics courses and developing programs for gifted middle school students interested in astronomy, further showcasing a commitment to both research and teaching in the field of planetary sciences.
