Jim Cole

Jim Cole is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public education and program management in the field of astronomy. Currently serving as the Senior Public Program Educator at Lowell Observatory since December 2014, Jim Cole oversees the operation of six advanced telescopes and contributes to the development of educational content for the forthcoming Astronomy Discovery Center. Previously, as the Owner of Jim Cole Photography from 2001 to 2014, Jim specialized in fine art photography with a focus on black and white film. Earlier, at SAP Campbell Software from 1994 to 1999, Jim held multiple roles including Custom Development Coordinator and Implementation Consultant, where responsibilities included enhancing interdepartmental communication and managing a team of consultants. Jim Cole holds a M.A. in Biology with a concentration in Marine Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.
