Megan Monson has a diverse work experience in the legal and tax fields. Megan is currently working as a Partner - Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation at Lowenstein Sandler LLP since January 2022. In this role, they advise clients on employee benefit and executive compensation matters, provides ongoing compliance assistance, and offers counsel for business transactions.

Before joining Lowenstein Sandler, Megan worked at Deloitte from 2012 to 2015. Megan started as a Tax Intern, where they reviewed qualified domestic relation orders (QDROs) and drafted plan provisions. Later, they became a Senior Tax Consultant, focusing on operational compliance for qualified plans, conducting research on qualification rules, and assisting with qualified plan audits and IRS audits.

Prior to Deloitte, Megan gained legal experience as a Law Clerk at Rufolo and Stein Law Firm, a Judicial Intern for U.S.D.C. Judge the Honorable Freda W. Wolfson, and a Legal Intern at Somerset County Prosecutor's Office. Megan conducted legal research, drafted memoranda and briefs, observed courtroom proceedings, and assisted in drafting legal opinions.

In addition, Megan had an internship at PharmaStrat, Inc., where they conducted market research on pharmaceutical products and assisted in client presentations.

Throughout their career, Megan has developed expertise in employee benefits, executive compensation, tax compliance, plan documentation, and ERISA matters.

Megan Monson completed their education with a J.D. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, specializing in Tax Law, between 2010 and 2013. Prior to that, they obtained their B.A. degree in Policy Studies with a minor in Management Studies from Syracuse University from 2006 to 2010. Megan attended Immaculata High School from 2002 to 2006, where they earned their High School Diploma.
