Lillian Smyth

Lillian Smyth, MD has extensive work experience in the field of oncology. Lillian currently holds the position of Senior Vice President and Global Development Head for Breast Cancer at Loxo Oncology at Lilly. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Vice President of Global Clinical Development and Vice President of Global Clinical Development at the same company. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Executive Medical Director, focusing on breast cancer and early drug development. Lillian has also worked as a Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and as a Consultant Medical Oncologist specializing in breast cancer at St. Vincent's University Hospital. Dr. Smyth gained clinical experience as an Attending Physician and Advanced Medical Oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Additionally, they served as a Principal Investigator for the American Association for Cancer Research's Project Genomics Evidence Neoplasia Information Exchange (GENIE). Dr. Smyth began their career as a Medical Oncology Specialist Registrar at the Health Service Executive.

Lillian Smyth, MD completed their education with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from The University of the State of New York in 2015. Prior to this, they obtained a MB BCH BAO (Hons) degree in Medicine from University College Dublin between 2000 and 2006. Lillian also pursued an MRCPI in Internal Medicine from The Royal College of Physicians in Ireland, which they completed in 2009. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate of Completion of Subspecialty Training in Medical Oncology from The Royal College of Physicians in Ireland between 2011 and 2015. Finally, Lillian completed an Advanced Medical Oncology Fellowship focused on Breast medicine and Developmental Therapeutics at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 2014 to 2016.
