Sachin S. Shivatare

Sachin S. Shivatare, PhD has extensive experience in the field of bio-conjugation and drug development. Sachin S. currently works as a Scientific Lead at Loxo@Lilly, where they focus on linker-payload design, bio-conjugation, and the assessment of antibody-drug conjugates. Their role includes developing and optimizing conjugation protocols using various chemistries and technologies, as well as performing purification, formulation, and characterization of ADCs.

Prior to their current position, Dr. Shivatare worked as a Senior Scientist at Amgen, where they led research projects in extrahepatic siRNA delivery. Sachin S. was responsible for synthesizing and purifying synthetic oligonucleotides and conducting bioconjugation experiments to explore novel targeting ligands for siRNA delivery.

Before that, they served as a Staff Scientist at Scripps Research, where they designed and synthesized novel PROTACs for targeted protein degradation and developed site-specific conjugation methodologies for antibody-drug conjugates. Sachin S. Shivatare, PhD obtained a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2003. In 2007, they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Patent Law and Practices from the Institute of Intellectual Property Studies (IIPS) in Mumbai, India. Sachin S. then pursued a Doctorate in Glycobiology at National Taiwan University, in collaboration with Academia Sinica, from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, in 2011, they briefly studied Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of California, Davis.
