Rafael Santos has a diverse work experience in various technical and research roles. Rafael began their career as a Research Assistant at CENIMAT/I3N in 2009. Rafael then worked as a Research Fellow at NanoTEG - CENIMAT/I3N, focusing on the development of novel nanostructured thermoelectric materials. In 2017, they became an R&D Engineer at Aquahydrex, where they designed and validated electrochemical characterization protocols. Rafael joined the Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Materials, University of Wollongong in 2013 as a PhD Candidate, and later worked as a Technical Officer. Currently, Rafael is the Director of Technical Sales at LPKF Laser & Electronics SE.
Rafael Santos completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Thermoelectric materials at the University of Wollongong from 2013 to 2019. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, they pursued a Master's degree in Materials Engineering at the New University of Lisbon - Faculty of Sciences and Tecnology.
