Alexander Batt

Alexander Batt has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors and disciplines. Most recently, they worked as an ISMS Lead Auditor at LRQA, where they audited information security across multiple sectors. Alexander also co-founded Empiris, a tech company focused on showcasing the value of veterans in the UK tech sector. Prior to that, Alexander worked as a Management System Consultant at Asteria Consultancy and as an Information Security Lead Auditor at Alcumus.

Before transitioning into the civilian workforce, Alexander served in the British Army, where they held positions as a Non-Commissioned Officer and Signals Intelligence Analyst. In these roles, they led a team of analysts, analyzed technical data, presented intelligence to stakeholders, and managed deployments both in the UK and overseas.

Alexander also gained experience in the medical field as an Assistant to the Paramedic at Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust during the Military Aid to Civil Authorities (MACA) Covid-19 response, where they provided emergency and urgent assistance as part of an ambulance crew.

Alexander's work experience demonstrates a strong background in information security, management systems, leadership, and emergency response.

Alexander Batt attended the Defence College of Intelligence (U.K. Ministry of Defence) from 2017 to 2018, where they obtained a degree in Data Acquisition & Signals Intelligence, with a field of study in Military Intelligence. During the same period, they also attended the Royal School of Signals, earning a degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. In terms of additional certifications, Alexander is ISO 14001: Environmental Management Systems Certified, ISO 20000 Lead Auditor - IT Service Certified, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor - Quality Certified, and ISO 27001 Lead Auditor - Information Security Certified. These certifications were obtained between 2022 and 2023. Additionally, they hold SC Cleared status from the UK Civil Service, which was obtained in June 2016.
