Paul Thessen

Mr. Thessen leads the team responsible for identifying and executing LS Power’s transmission and fossil generation development opportunities. In this role he oversees the development, environmental permitting, regulatory, origination, engineering and construction management functions of LS Power. Mr. Thessen joined LS Power in 1992 and has participated in the successful development of more than 10,000 MW of greenfield generation projects and several large-scale transmission projects totalling more than 560 miles. Prior to being named President in 2008, Mr. Thessen held various roles within LS Power concentrated on project development and new business development.

Mr. Thessen received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering summa cum laude from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
