Engineering Maintenance Lead at Medical Device Manufacturing

Rob McCarthy began their work experience in 1983 as an underground mechanical craftsman at British Coal. In 1992, they transitioned to Medical Device Manufacturing and worked as a process operator until 1994, when they became a maintenance technician. From 2001 to 2012, Rob held the position of senior maintenance technician, and then became the engineering maintenance lead in 2012.

Rob McCarthy's education history includes:

- From 2004 to 2007, they attended College Gwent and earned an NVQ IV degree in Engineering/Industrial Management.

- In 2001, they completed an ILM 3 first line management degree at College Gwent.

- In 2000, they obtained an NVQ 3 degree in Engineering studies from College Gwent.

- From 1988 to 1989, they went through a British Coal Apprenticeship and achieved a City & Guilds 3 General Engineering degree with a focus on Mechanical Engineering.

- Lastly, from 1983 to 1987, they completed a British Coal Mechanical apprenticeship and obtained a City & Guilds 1-3 Industrial Control Systems degree with a specialization in Hydraulics, pneumatic & electronics.
