Mario Garner

Mario Garner, Ed.D, FACHE, currently serves as President of CHI St. Luke’s Vintage Hospital since December 2018 and holds the position of Chair Elect on the Global Board of Directors for the LSU Alumni Association as of January 2023. Garner has a robust background in healthcare leadership, with previous roles including CEO of Memorial Hermann Health System's Pearland location, Chief Executive Officer at New Orleans East Hospital, and Chief Operating Officer at HCA Fairview Park Hospital. Additional experience includes significant administrative positions across multiple healthcare facilities and involvement with the American College of Healthcare Executives. Garner's educational credentials include a Doctorate of Education in Leadership & Supervision from the University of Houston and a Master's in Health Administration from Tulane University, alongside a Bachelor's in Microbiology from Louisiana State University.
