Yvette Black Marsh, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in talent management, training and development, and consulting. Yvette currently holds the position of Assistant Vice President at the LSU Foundation, where they have worked since 2012. Prior to this role, they served as the Executive Director, Senior Director, and Director of Talent Management at the same organization.
In addition to their work at the LSU Foundation, Yvette also has experience as an Adjunct Instructor at Louisiana State University, starting in 2020.
Before joining the LSU Foundation, Yvette held various positions at Louisiana State University, including Director of Training and Development and Interim Associate Vice Chancellor.
Yvette also has experience as a consultant at SSA Consultants, where they provided management consulting services to a diverse range of clients.
Earlier in their career, Yvette worked as a Training and Development Manager at Louisiana State University and as a Corporate Training Officer at Hibernia National Bank, where they were responsible for designing and delivering training programs for employees at all levels.
Yvette Black Marsh, Ph.D. attended Baton Rouge Magnet High School. After graduating from high school, they went on to pursue their undergraduate education at Louisiana State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Following their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at Louisiana State University and earned a Master of Science degree in Information Systems and Decision Sciences. Yvette's journey in academia was not complete yet, as they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Human Resource Education, also at Louisiana State University.
