Poornima Narayana Swamy

Poornima Narayana Swamy has over 15 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Poornima is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at LTK since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked at IBM for 7 years from January 2014 to March 2021 as a Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included developing and maintaining RESTful APIs using Go, managing and maintaining News service, and adding monitoring dashboards using Python, JavaScript, and NRQL.

Before joining IBM, Poornima worked at SDLC Partners, L.P. as a Consultant II (Technology Solutions) from May 2012 to December 2013. Poornima was involved in front-end application development, proposing and designing user-friendly solutions, and preparing software architecture documents.

Poornima also gained experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh from January 2013 to May 2013. Their responsibilities included analyzing information patterns and trends using bulletin board poster data and visualizing the data using network graphs and Google maps. Poornima also designed and conducted user surveys and created visualization posters.

Prior to their research assistant role, Poornima worked as a Developer and Designer at the University of Pittsburgh from January 2012 to May 2012 and from September 2011 to December 2011, respectively. As a developer, they created a mobile-based expense tracking application for Android phones, while as a designer and developer, they designed and developed a mobile application called "Pitt Locator" for students to access information about the university's campus.

Additionally, Poornima volunteered at Rhiza Labs in September 2009, where they developed an automation script for H1N1 flutracker that displayed the latest flu data on a map using Google Maps.

Poornima started their career as a Software Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services from December 2006 to May 2009. Their responsibilities included developing modules, performing unit testing, and performing configuration management for enterprise server applications and environments.

Poornima Narayana Swamy pursued their education with a focus on Information Science. Poornima obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2002 to 2006. Later on, they completed a Master of Science degree at the University of Pittsburgh from 2011 to 2013, specializing in Information Science.
