David Wilmot, MD, FAAFP

David Wilmot, MD, FAAFP has a diverse work experience in the medical field. David is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at LTS since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the CEO of Premier Medical Consulting, LLC starting from December 2017.

From September 2014 to July 2017, Dr. Wilmot held a significant role as the Major General and Director of the Office of the Joint Surgeon at the National Guard Bureau. David utilized their 31 years of experience in the Army National Guard to advise the Chief of the National Guard Bureau on matters concerning the readiness and health of soldiers and airmen.

Starting from an undisclosed date in 2013 and until 2016, Dr. Wilmot served as the Medical Director for Indiana at UnitedHealth Group in the Optum Complex Population Management department.

Dr. Wilmot began their career as a Family Physician at Hendricks Regional Health in 2000 and continued in this role until 2013.

These experiences showcase Dr. Wilmot's extensive knowledge and expertise in the medical field, particularly in leadership positions and primary care.

David Wilmot, MD, FAAFP, obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from Indiana Wesleyan University. Additionally, they hold a Master's degree in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.

In terms of certifications, Dr. Wilmot received training in Learning Cloud Computing: Core Concepts and Managing Change from LinkedIn in 2019 and 2018, respectively. David is also Board Certified in Family Medicine by The American Board of Family Medicine and holds the certification of Certified Medical Director from AMDA - The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. Furthermore, they are a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
