Philip van Mersbergen

Philip Van Mersbergen has a extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Philip started their career as an Assistant Controller at MidWestOne Bank in 1996 and held that position until 2008. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Community 1st Credit Union, and later served as the President and CEO of the same organization from 2011 to 2013. Philip then joined Smith Fertilizer & Grain as a Controller from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they held positions as the Chief Executive Officer at River Valley Credit Union and as the Chief Financial Officer at Greater Iowa Credit Union. Currently, since 2022, they are the Chief Financial Officer at Luana Savings Bank.

Philip Van Mersbergen completed their Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business/Management from William Penn University, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. Philip further pursued their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Accounting from Upper Iowa University, where they studied from 2006 to 2008.
