Kristen vander-Plas Lafreniere

Kristen Vander-Plas LaFreniere serves as a Professor of Business Law at Lubbock Christian University, teaching business-law courses primarily to upperclassmen. As the Owner and Attorney at Vander-Plas LaFreniere, PLLC, Kristen specializes in general civil business law, civil litigation, collections, estate planning, probate, and appellate law. In addition, Kristen contributes to the legal community as an Associate Editor for "The Advocate" published by the State Bar of Texas's Litigation Section and previously served as Editor for "The Appellate Advocate." Kristen's experience includes various attorney roles and judicial clerkships, including a position with the Supreme Court of Texas, where responsibilities involved drafting opinions and preparing for oral arguments. Kristen holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Lubbock Christian University.
