Soundar Rajan

Soundar Rajan is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in managing large-scale capital investment projects and engineering departments. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at The Lubrizol Corporation since February 2024, Soundar oversees a multi-discipline Engineering Department focused on Capex and Operations Support. Previously, Soundar held various leadership roles at Huntsman Corporation from June 1996 to February 2024, culminating as the Global Capital Portfolio Manager, where responsibilities included managing a diverse portfolio of global capital projects. Soundar's expertise also extends to project management coaching and standards development, with a significant background in engineering management positions. Before Huntsman, Soundar worked as a Manufacturing Manager at Tamil Nadu Petroproducts Ltd, focusing on equipment design, maintenance, and project development. Soundar holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the National Center For Computing Techniques.
