Melanie Walas

Melanie Walas is a seasoned digital artist with extensive experience at Industrial Light & Magic since 1996, specializing in UV layout and painting of digital models. In addition to the role at ILM, Melanie also served as a digital painter at the same company, contributing to various projects. Prior experience includes working as a modelmaker and painter at Kerner Optical from 2006 to 2008, where responsibilities involved painting miniature props and set pieces. Earlier career highlights include fabricating props and costumes for stop-motion animation puppets and sets at Danger Prod. from 1991 to 1992. Melanie holds a B.A. in Fine/Studio Arts from Messiah University, earned between 1980 and 1984.
