Michiel van Dorst

Michiel van Dorst has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michiel is currently the CEO of LVNL, where they are working on transforming the organization to ensure safe and high-performance aviation. Michiel also serves as the Chair of the European CANSO CEO Committee and the Chairman of the CEO Board at FABEC. In addition, they hold positions on the Advisory Board of the Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum and the Supervisory Board of Het Oogziekenhuis Rotterdam. Previously, Michiel worked at KLM in various roles, including as a pilot and a member of the Executive Committee. Michiel has also been involved in organizations such as Deltalinqs, IATA, and Wings of Support.

Michiel van Dorst attended NLS, Netherlands NAT. Aviation School from 1990 to 1992, where they obtained an ATPL License as a pilot. Michiel then pursued a drs (M.A.) degree in Economics Management Accounting and Control at the University of Amsterdam from 1997 to 2001. In 2007, they participated in the AirFrance - KLM Joint Executive Program at IMD for a year. In 2017 and 2018, they studied Corporate governance voor Commissarissen at Hemingway Professional Governance. Most recently, in 2019 and 2020, they engaged in the CLEAR (Cultivating Leadership Energy through Awareness and Reflection) program at IMD.
