Ruari Hodgin

Ruari Hodgin has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. In 2015, they worked as a Retail Assistant at WHSmith, where they were responsible for ensuring the store was well stocked and helping and serving customers. In 2017, they worked as a Facility Attendant at Active Tameside, where their job involved ensuring the safety of customers, especially young children, in a trampoline and soft play centre. In 2019, they worked as a Summer Research Intern at EPSRC, where they performed research into in-situ wear sensing using eddy-current sensors and designed bespoke components in Solidworks for testing on a Bruker UMT TriboLab. Currently, they are employed as a Design Engineer at Lucid Group.

Ruari Hodgin has attended the University of Leeds from 2017 to 2021 where they obtained a Master of Engineering - MEng in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. In addition, they obtained a Solidworks Associate certification from Dassault Systèmes in January 2018 and an Excel Fundamentals for Data Analysis certification from Coursera in July 2020.
