Grant Leishman

Grant Leishman is a Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in high-voltage battery enclosures, currently employed at Lucid Motors since October 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Associate Mechanical Design Engineer at Tesla, where Grant worked on the Model Y Structural Battery. From September 2015 to July 2021, Grant served as Team Principal and Chassis Lead at Western Formula Racing, leading design and validation efforts for composite vehicle structures and optimizing vehicle subsystems for electric powertrains. Additional experience includes internships at Armatec Survivability and Diamond Aircraft, focusing on composite engineering and support engineering for aircraft components. Grant holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Western University, earned in 2021.
