Igor Souza

Igor Souza is an experienced engineer currently serving as an Associate CAD Engineer at Lucid Motors since April 2023. Previously, a diverse career at Longhorn Racing Electric spanned multiple roles, including Aerodynamics Advisor/Cooling Engineer and various leadership positions in aerodynamics and body systems from August 2018 to December 2022. Igor's expertise includes manufacturing composite structures, operating CNC machines, and conducting advanced simulations using SOLIDWORKS and CFD analysis. Additional experience includes a Manufacturing Engineering Internship at Rivian, research in thermoplastic composites at The University of Texas at Austin, and various internships focused on engineering processes and automation across different industries. Igor holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and has contributed to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers as a student member.
