Michael Jocz

Michael Jocz is a seasoned engineer currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Closures Mechanisms and Structures at Lucid Motors since May 2024. Prior to this role, Michael excelled at Rivian as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Mechatronics and Glazing from August 2017 to April 2024, demonstrating remarkable adaptability and achieving high performance in a startup environment. Michael's engineering foundation was established through work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, contributing to a helmet design for concussion prevention for the Head Health Challenge III. Michael holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Michigan. Additionally, Michael was an accomplished varsity football player, earning leadership experience and a varsity letter over three years.
