Karl Sun

Karl Sun is a co-founder and board chair of Lucid, where Karl also serves as CEO since March 2010. Under Karl Sun's leadership, Lucid Software has developed a Visual Collaboration Suite that includes products like Lucidchart, Lucidspark, and Lucidscale, facilitating effective team collaboration and visualization of ideas. Additionally, Karl Sun has contributed to Forbes as a writer focused on the people side of entrepreneurship since April 2017. Prior experience includes roles at Google, where Karl Sun served as Investments Principal for Google.org and held key positions in business development and patents, as well as practicing law at Perkins Coie LLP and other legal firms. Karl Sun holds a JD from Harvard Law School and multiple degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, including an SB in EECS and an MS in Technology and Policy.
