Sami Ahmed

Sami Ahmed is a highly skilled software engineer with extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer II at Lucidworks since February 2021, Sami manages Google Cloud infrastructure, engineers Java services, and overhauls CI/CD strategies. Previous roles include Lead Software Engineer at Vibrent Health, where Sami oversaw data engineering practices and migrated data to Kubernetes pipelines, as well as experience at Capital One, where Sami developed microservices and web applications. With a foundational background as an IT Specialist at IBM and early experiences in IT consulting, Sami holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Virginia Tech in Business Information Technology and Information Technology respectively.
