James Carter has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fashion industry. James recently held the position of Vice President - Merchandising at Lucky Brand and also served as an Executive Board Member at the Black In Fashion Council. Prior to that, they were a Board Member at Four Objects. James also had a long career at Calvin Klein, where they held various roles, including Vice President/DMM for Men's Apparel & Accessories (Omnichannel) - North America and Vice President/DMM for E-commerce. James also worked as a Senior Buyer at Calvin Klein and played a crucial role in launching the brand's official e-commerce site. Before Calvin Klein, James worked at Diesel as the Director of US Retail Buying and Merchandising. James was responsible for buying, merchandising, and sales functions, achieving significant sales growth. Earlier in their career, James worked at J.Crew as a Senior Merchandiser and at Abercrombie & Fitch Co. as a Senior Merchandiser for Women's divisions. Overall, James has demonstrated their expertise and leadership in merchandising, retail, and e-commerce throughout their career.
James Carter attended Duke University from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a certificate in Markets and Management.
