Michael Kerkloh

Michael Kerkloh is a Supervisory Board Member at Lufthansa. Michael was previously the Board of Directors - Member at Oman Aviation Group from November 2017 to October 2020. From June 2017 to June 2019, they were the President at Airports Council International (Europe) - ACI EUROPE. Michael was also a Board Member at Airports Council International - ACI World from June 2014 to July 2019. Michael has also worked at World Tourism Forum Lucerne and Flughafen München as the CEO and President from September 2002 to December 2019. During their time at Flughafen München, they were responsible for airport operations, consumers activities, master planning, airport expansion, political governance, neighborhood relations, ground handling, group strategy, group communications, PR, and compliance. From January 1995 to December 2002, they were the Geschäftsführer at Flughafen Hamburg GmbH. Additionally, they served as the Präsident at Deutscher Flughafenverband ADV from January 2013 to December 2017. Michael began their career as the Managing Director at Hamburg Airport from January 1995 to August 2002 and later became the Assistant to MD at Verlag Norman Rentrop from July 1986 to July 1987.

Michael Kerkloh's educational career began with him obtaining a Diplom-Volkswirt in Volkswirtschaftslehre from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. Michael then went on to obtain a doctorate in doctor of philosophy from the Universität Göttingen. Finally, they obtained a Promotion in PH.D. from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main in the field of Vergleichende Wirtschaftspolitik.
