Michael Kerkloh's educational career began with him obtaining a Diplom-Volkswirt in Volkswirtschaftslehre from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. Michael then went on to obtain a doctorate in doctor of philosophy from the Universität Göttingen. Finally, they obtained a Promotion in PH.D. from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main in the field of Vergleichende Wirtschaftspolitik.
