Joshua Whalen

Joshua Whalen has extensive experience in information security and engineering roles. Joshua is currently working as a Sr. Information Security Engineer at Luma Health since March 2022. Before that, they worked at Convercent from May 2019 to March 2022, holding the position of Sr. Information Security Engineer. Prior to that, they served as an Information Security Engineer, DevOps Engineer, and Systems Administrator at Convercent from August 2016 to May 2019. Joshua Whalen was employed at Thomson Reuters as a Lead Technical Engineer from January 2013 to March 2016, and as a Technical Engineer and Desktop Support Engineer from June 2011 to January 2013. Joshua started their career at Jefferson County Public Schools as a Networking Support Services Site Technician from November 2008 to January 2011.

Joshua Whalen attended Front Range Community College from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Computer Information Systems. In 2008, they also obtained the A+ certification from CompTIA. After completing their education, Joshua obtained additional certifications, including the MCP certification from Microsoft in 2009. In 2012, they obtained the Citrix Certified Administrator for Citrix XenDesktop 5 certification from Citrix Systems, Inc. In the same year, they also obtained the Citrix Certified Administrator for Citrix XenServer 6 certification. In 2013, Joshua obtained the Citrix Certified Administrator for Citrix XenApp 6 certification, and most recently, in 2019, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA.
