Tarun Batra

Tarun Batra is the CEO and co-founder of LumenData, a data management and analytics consulting firm. Tarun has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, including senior management positions at Oracle, Inventa Technologies, Siebel Systems, and Sybase.

Batra began their career in 1988 as a Senior Systems Analyst at Bay State Health Care. Tarun then joined Sybase in 1992 as a Practice Manager, before moving to Siebel Systems in 1998 as Consulting Manager for the West region. In 1999, they joined Inventa Technologies as Senior Director, where they managed strategic alliances, marketing, and business development functions.

In January 2004, Batra joined Oracle Corporation as Analytics & Data Management Consulting Director for North America. In this role, they were responsible for managing Oracle's Analytics & Data Management services business for all North American customers. Tarun left Oracle in September 2007 to co-found LumenData.

Under Batra's leadership, LumenData has become a leading provider of data management and analytics solutions to Fortune 500 companies. The company has been recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

Tarun Batra has a MS in MIS from The University of Texas at Dallas and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology.
