Léa Philippe began their professional career in 2015 with an internship in the materials laboratory at SICPA, where they measured the variation of fluorescence and phosphorescence inks in relation to temperature. The following year, they returned to SICPA for another internship in the analytical laboratory, where they contributed to the validation of a method to quantify specific elements in bank notes with ICP-OES. In 2018, Léa Philippe interned at Idorsia Pharmaceuticals Ltd in drug discovery medicinal chemistry. In 2019, they became a Graduate Research Trainee at McGill University, where they completed their Master Thesis to graduate with a Master of Science in Molecular and Biological Chemistry. Later that year, Léa Philippe began working at Lumendo as a Quality Manager, R&D Chemist, and R&D Chemist Intern.
Léa Philippe began their educational journey at Lycée Xavier Marmier, Pontarlier, France, where they obtained their Baccalauréat in 2012. Léa then attended Lycée du Parc from 2012 to 2014, where they studied Chemistry Physics Mathematics. In 2014, Léa Philippe began their Bachelor in chemistry and chemical engineering at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), which they completed in 2017. Léa then took a year off to study Chemistry at the University of Helsinki in 2016-2017. In 2017, they returned to EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) to pursue their Master of Science in molecular and biological chemistry, which they completed in 2019. In 2020, Léa Philippe obtained an Introduction to Project Management certification from edX.
