Hui Xu

Hui Xu has over 20 years of work experience in the field of research and development (R&D). Currently, they are the VP of R&D at Lumentum since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the VP of Global RD & Engineering at NeoPhotonics from May 2019 to August 2022. Before joining NeoPhotonics, Hui held the position of Senior Director of R&D at Foxconn Interconnect Technologies from January 2016 to May 2019. Hui also served as the Director of R&D at Avago Technologies from March 2006 to December 2015. Hui began their career at Agilent Technologies, starting as an R&D Hardware Design Engineer from January 2001 to April 2005 and later transitioned to the role of Application Engineer from May 2005 to February 2006.

Hui Xu completed a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University from 1996-2000. They also earned a B.S. in Physics from Peking University from 1990-1995. Prior to that, Hui attended high school, but the specific dates and details are not provided.
