Shubhrangshu Mallick

Shubhrangshu Mallick, PhD has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Shubhrangshu is currently working at Lumentum as the Director of 3DS Ops NPI Product Engineering and Process Integration. In this role, they have been responsible for driving and maintaining stable yield on multiple generations of GaAs VCSEL production for 3DS-VCSEL/EEL products. Shubhrangshu also manages the NPI chip Epi and Device PE team, as well as the Process Integration Engineering team.

Prior to their current role, Shubhrangshu Mallick worked at Lumentum as a Senior Manager Product Engineering and Manager 2 Product Engineering VCSEL based 3D Sensing. Shubhrangshu also held the position of Principal Product Engineer in VCSEL based 3D Sensors at Lumentum.

Before joining Lumentum, Shubhrangshu Mallick worked at WD, a Western Digital company, as the Principal Product Design Engineer, NPI - HAMR Media for Hard Drive, Consumer Electronics.

Shubhrangshu also gained experience at FormFactor as a Senior Principal Process Integration Engineer, Solexant as a Senior Research Scientist, EPIR Technologies Inc as a Lead Device and Process Development Engineer, and the University of Illinois at Chicago as a Research Assistant.

Shubhrangshu Mallick, PhD, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 2003. Shubhrangshu then pursued a PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago from 2003 to 2008. In 2015, they received a Certificate of Management for Technical Professionals (CMTP) from UC Irvine. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Management for Technical Professionals from UC Irvine in 2015.
