Takunda Chifamba

Takunda Chifamba is a skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and reliability testing. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Reliability/Test at Lumentum since July 2022, Takunda has been instrumental in developing advanced mechanical R&D test hardware and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders. Previously, Takunda held positions at ALCATEL Submarine Networks Marine, where significant contributions were made towards the industrialization of new products, and GEA Pharma Systems Ltd, focusing on mechanical design and compliance with ISO standards. Takunda also has experience as a Design Engineer at CooperVision and participated in various team roles within UPRacing, enhancing skills in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and event logistics. Takunda holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portsmouth.
