Joris Paijmans is a data scientist at LUMICKS since June 2021, with a prior role as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems from October 2017 to October 2020, where Joris managed four independent research projects and developed a Python package for analyzing biological data. Earlier experience includes working as an associate researcher at AMOLF from September 2012 to December 2016, where Joris discovered a mechanism for a stable biological clock published in a peer-reviewed journal and presented findings at international conferences. Joris also completed a PhD researcher role at AMOLF, focusing on biochemical network simulations leading to three publications, and collaborated with the University of Michigan during this period. Academic qualifications include a master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics and a bachelor's degree in Physics and Astrophysics, both from the University of Amsterdam.
