Siegfried Weisenburger

Siegfried Weisenburger is an accomplished researcher and leader in optical microscopy and biophysics, currently serving as the Head of Research & Development DSM at LUMICKS since March 2019, where Siegfried oversees an R&D team specializing in hardware, biochemistry, and software. Previous roles include R&D Performance Team Lead, where oversight included a diverse team for the successful completion of imaging modules, and Technology Development Engineer, leading the redesign of optical tweezers. Siegfried's academic background includes significant contributions to volumetric calcium imaging as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Rockefeller University and Research Associate at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology. Siegfried earned a doctorate in Physics from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and has experience in super-resolved microscopy techniques developed during doctoral research at the Max Planck Institute.
