Mariya Chokova is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in language instruction and educational consulting. Currently, Mariya holds the position of Licensed Teacher at Boston Public Schools and serves as Learning & Research Manager at Lumiere Education, along with working as an Educational Consultant at Polis. Previous roles include IB Spanish and French Instructor at The Newman School and French and Spanish Teacher at Riverdale Country School. Mariya has also contributed to academia as a Visiting Teaching Fellow and Ph.D. Candidate at Harvard University, where a Doctor of Philosophy in Romance Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics was obtained. Additional academic experience includes a role as Visiting Lecturer at Emory University. Mariya earned a Bachelor of Arts in French and Italian Studies from Wellesley College.
