Dr. Vaidyanathan is the SVP Worldwide R&D and has the Technology Development, Product Development & CTO teams reporting into him. His previous role was SVP TD for Die, Packaging and Converter. Prior to joining Lumileds, Dr. Vaidyanathan held leadership positions in Technology Development, Fabless Supplier Management and NPI Operations at companies including Intel, JDSU, and Xilinx. He joined Lumileds in 2015 to lead Device Technology Development and in 2019 added responsibility for Packaging TD. Dr. Vaidyanathan has over 30-years of experience in the Semiconductor, Photonics and LED industries.
Dr. Vaidyanathan holds MS and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tulane University and a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Bombay University.
