Lee Davidson

Contract Programmer at Lumina

Lee Davidson has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies. Lee started their career at Sikorsky Aircraft as a Programmer/Analyst, where they worked on various projects involving data analysis and utility development. Afterwards, they joined IBM Santa Teresa Lab as a Staff Programmer, where they contributed to the development of a new file system architecture for IBM MVS systems. Lee then moved on to Metaphor Computer Systems as a Staff Programmer, where they worked on software development and troubleshooting. Lee later joined IBM Santa Teresa Lab again as a Contract Programmer, where they continued to work on the Metaphor codebase and interacted with customers to understand their problems and requirements. Lee then took on a role as a Senior Programmer at Meta5, Inc, where they led development efforts on the Metaphor software and built relationships with customers. Lee subsequently worked as a Contract Programmer at Lumina Decision Systems, where they worked on various projects including kernel density estimation algorithms and web interface development. Currently, Lee is working as a Senior Software Engineer at PayPal, focusing on C++ programming in the Core Payments group.

Lee Davidson earned a B.A degree from Vanderbilt University, majoring in philosophy and studying physics, classical mechanics, and quantum theory. Following this, Lee pursued further education at Yale University, where they obtained a Ph.D in philosophy, mathematics, and physics.
