Gonzalo Sáez Mischlich has been working in the field of software engineering, research, and CFD since 2014. Gonzalo began their career as an intern at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, where they worked on CFD with RANS. In 2015, they interned at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they worked on CFD applied to Fusion and Solidification phenomena. In 2016, they interned at ISAE-SUPAERO, where they worked on C++ programming within a CFD code. Gonzalo then worked at Continental Automotive Systems France SAS in 2017 as a CFD internship. In 2017, they began their PhD at ISAE-SUPAERO, where they developed a parallel high-order sliding mesh method for Finite Volume and Spectral Element methods, implemented the Spectral Difference Raviart Thomas (SDRT) method for simplex elements and GPUs in PyFR, and analyzed the linear and non-linear accuracy and stability of the SDRT method for simplex elements. Gonzalo is currently working as a Software Engineer - HPC Research at Luminary Cloud, starting in 2021.
Gonzalo Sáez Mischlich has a Master of Science in Aerospace Mechanics and Avionics from ISAE-SUPAERO, which they obtained between 2015 and 2017 with a major in Aerodynamics and Advance Fluid Dynamics. Gonzalo also holds a Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which they obtained between 2011 and 2015 with a major in Aerospace Vehicles.
