Nicole Simmons

Nicole Simmons, SHRM-CP, currently serves as the People Operations Manager at Luminate, a global philanthropic organization focused on empowering communities for just and fair societies, since April 2019. Prior to this role, Nicole specialized in human resources across various organizations, including The Literacy Lab, where responsibilities included overseeing HR operations for literacy development in urban communities, and Metropolitan Service and Maintenance Corporation, where Nicole established payroll processes and managed HR records. Additional experience includes significant roles at the District of Columbia Public Schools, where Nicole advised on labor management and employee relations, as well as at Booz Allen Hamilton and PricewaterhouseCoopers, focusing on recruitment and resource deployment. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Administration from Temple University.
