Anthony Salvaggio has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Anthony started their career as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Hospira in 2006. Anthony then joined the University of Texas at Austin as a Graduate Research Associate in 2009. After that, they returned to Hospira as a Process Engineer in 2012, where they focused on improving product quality and equipment reliability. In 2015, Anthony joined Luminex Corporation - A DiaSorin Company as an Optical Engineer and gradually progressed to the roles of Staff Optical Engineer, Senior Optical Engineer, and currently as a Principal Engineer. In their current role, they lead cross-functional teams in the development of optical systems for the Life Science and Molecular Diagnostic field. Overall, Anthony has extensive experience in optical design, characterization, and integration, as well as expertise in system performance analysis and numerical modeling.

Anthony Salvaggio attended Texas A&M University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Engineering. From 2009 to 2011, they pursued further education at The University of Texas at Austin and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree, also in Biomedical Engineering.
