Eric Montemayor

Eric Montemayor currently serves as the Manager of Assay Research and Development at Luminex Corporation, focusing on Product Development and R&D to launch new In Vitro Diagnostic tools. Montemayor has coaching experience in baseball and softball, having led various teams since 2018. Previously, Montemayor was a Research Scientist at PPD, supporting pharmaceutical product testing and mentoring junior analysts. Montemayor held the position of Associate Scientist at UW Madison, overseeing cryo-electron microscope operations and team coordination. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at UTHSCSA, Montemayor specialized in RNA intron debranching enzyme research. Additionally, Montemayor was an Adjunct Faculty member teaching chemistry and has a robust academic background from The University of Texas at Austin, holding a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and a B.S. in Biochemistry.
